You may have heard the word ‘salvation’ or the phrase ‘being saved’ before. You may have even wondered what it means. It’s more than just religious jargon. Below quickly explains it for you: God Loves You and has a plan for your life. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
But…your sin causes a cosmic chasm between you and God.
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2
So, God sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross to forgive you and to bridge the gap. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
It’s your choice to receive the gift or not. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10
It’s the real deal. Ready to make the Choice? Here is your prayer:
Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner and that I have messed up from time to time. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that God raised Him from the dead. I choose to follow You, Jesus, and I confess that You are my savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. I love You. Amen.
