Being childlike doesn't mean being naïve. It means having the right person to trust.
1. A Childlike Trust Grows When You Know Your Father.
1 John 3:1
"See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!"
2. A Childlike Trust Is Simply Trusting What Your Father Says.
1 John 3:8
But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.
3. Childlike Trust Shows Itself In Your Love For Those Your Father Loves.
1 John 3:16
We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.
4. A Childlike Trust Finds It's Home In The Presence Of Your Father.
1 John 3:24
Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
Talking --> Relationship --> Trust --> Obey --> Joy
1 John 3:23
And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.
What area of your life do you trust yourself more than you trust your Heavenly Father? (What do you control more than what you allow Him to control?)
