RVR RUN YTH

River Run Student Ministry exists to equip students with a deep love for Christ while empowering parents to form and influence the heart of their student. We accomplish this by teaching the gospel, providing outreach opportunities, pouring God’s truths into their lives through small groups and one-on-one mentoring situations and providing support and information to the parents.  Through each opportunity provided, students should be challenged to examine their lives and compare them with God’s standards so they may be continually growing in their faith. Everything You Need to Know About F.U.S.E. Summer Camp

Here is a list of Frequent Asked Questions
What is Student Life?
Since student life opened their first camp in 1993, Student Life Camp has existed for one purpose: to help 6th–12th grade students know Christ through His Word.  During that first Student Life Camp, 450 students from four different churches arrived and experienced a transformational week. Since those first summers, they’ve served over one million students and over ten thousand churches across the country.  Their Christian summer camp experiences are intentionally designed to support churches’ year-long discipleship strategy and to help students move forward in their faith. They equip our leaders to lead students through an unforgettable week of ministry.  From meaningful Life Groups and powerful worship to high-energy recreation and team-building challenges, every moment is designed with purpose. Their heart is simple: that what God ignites at camp returns home with your student and continues to grow in your local church. Because they know camp can serve as a powerful catalyst in students’ spiritual lives—long after it ends.
Why not do North Florida Camp again?
Well, that is because North Florida Camp is not a youth group camp. What that means is North Florida is more single student that isn't in a youth group minded. Plus, we would have to go to two separate camps because they do not allow middle school and high school to go to the same camp.
So then how can you trust Student Life Camp if my kid has never been?
I myself have gone to Student Life Camp multiple times as a student basically from 6th grade to 12th, and every single time I not only grew in my personal faith, but got to witness so much life change in my friends, leaders, and other youth groups. That was by far one of the most amazing things I had ever witnessed. The camp is even where I got my calling for youth ministry. I have also worked on staff for Student Life and it is by far one of the safest camps I know. They background their staff members rigorously, train them for weeks, and keep not only the campers safe but also the leaders.
Why Camp at all?
Well camp is a week away from all the noise of all the world and focused on listening to God. There is just so much intentionality in camp and so much life change. Between the 4 worship sessions a day, 2 sermons a day, the personal testimonies from the Student Life Staff, seeing other students on their hands and knees praising and crying to God, and just the amount of love and intentionality. I have seen life change after life change at student life. I mean I wouldn't even be here talking about camp if it wasn't for student life helping me find my calling to youth ministry.

JOIN OUR TEAM!!!

Do you have a knack for leadership? Are you looking for a chance to grow, build new skills, and make a real impact on students? Want to be the person people go to for guidance, love Pizza, and yeah, rock a name tag that says, "Student Leader" or "F.U.S.E. Leader"?

Being a Student Leader or F.U.S.E. Leader isn't just a title, it's an opportunity to step up, take initiative, and become someone others look to for support and direction. Whether you're naturally outgoing or still working on finding your voice, this role gives you the space to develop confidence, sharpen your communication skills, and discover just how capable a leader you can be.

As a Student Leader or F.U.S.E. Leader, you'll get hands-on experience in communication, problem-solving, and team building, all while helping fellow students feel welcomed and supported. You'll work alongside other motivated peers, take part in meaningful conversations, and play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive environment for everyone around you. No two days look exactly the same, one day you might be guiding a new student through their first week, and the next you could be helping organize an event or leading a group discussion.

This role is also a great way to invest in yourself. It's a chance to build your resume, gain real leadership experience, and connect with a community that's passionate about making a difference. The skills you develop here, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving, are the same skills that will set you apart in future jobs, internships, and everyday life.

We're not looking for perfection; we're looking for heart. If you're dependable, willing to grow, and genuinely care about helping others succeed, you already have what it takes.

If any of this sounds like you, click the picture of the relevant team to fill out the Student Leader or F.U.S.E. Leader application. We'd love to have you on the team!
