Unstoppable God

Heaven thundered
And the world was born
Life begins and ends
In the dust You formed

Faith commanded
And the mountains moved
Fear is losing ground
To our hope in You

Unstoppable God
Let Your glory go on and on
Impossible things
In Your name they shall be done

Freedom conquered
All our chains undone
Sin defeated
Jesus has overcome

Mercy triumphed
When the third day dawned
Darkness was denied
When the stone was gone

Unstoppable God
Let Your glory go on and on
Impossible things
In Your name they shall be done

Nothing shall be impossible
Your kingdom reigns unstoppable
We’ll shout Your praise forevermore
Jesus our God unstoppable

Unstoppable God
Let Your glory go on and on
Impossible things
In Your name they shall be done

You Cannot Be Stopped

The dark tried to hide You
And steal you away
Death tried to keep You
Inside of the grave
The enemy fought You
He tried but he lost
You cannot be stopped

When we cried for freedom
You tore down the walls
The weight of our burdens
You carried it all
Our fears and our failures
Hang dead on the cross
You cannot be stopped

Mover of mountains
Breaker of chains
Jesus has triumphed
Over the grave
Sing Hallelujah
The battle is won
Nothing can stand
Against our God

We stand on your victory
And we shout out Your praise
Miracle maker
You’re mighty to save
Awesome in power
Relentless in love, whoa
You cannot be stopped

Mover of mountains
Breaker of chains
Jesus has triumphed
Over the grave
Sing Hallelujah
The battle is won
Nothing can stand
Against our God

There’s nothing that can stop our God
There’s nothing that can stop our God
There’s nothing that can stop our God
There is nothing, there is nothing

You cannot be stopped
There’s nothing that can stop our God
No, you cannot be stopped
There’s nothing that can stop our God
You’re fighting for us
There’s nothing that can stop our God
Ooh, there is nothing, there is nothing, yeah

There’s nothing that can stop our God
Oh, You cannot be stopped
There’s nothing that can stop our God
Oh God you’re victorious
There’s nothing that can stop our God
You’re fighting for us
There is nothing

Mover of mountains
Breaker of chains
Jesus has triumphed
Over the grave
Sing Hallelujah
The battle is won
Nothing can stand
Against our God

Sing Hallelujah
The battle is won
Nothing can stand
Against our God

Sermon Notes:

What do two Jews, a young man, a doctor, a wealthy businesswoman, a poor ex-slave girl, and a prison guard all have in common?

They are the church.

The two Jews, the young man and the doctor

Acts 16:12

From there we reached Philippi, a major city of that district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. And we stayed there several days.

The wealthy business woman

Acts 16:14-15

One of them was Lydia from Thyatira, a merchant of expensive purple cloth, who worshiped God. As she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart, and she accepted what Paul was saying. She and her household were baptized, and she asked us to be her guests. “If you agree that I am a true believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my home.” And she urged us until we agreed.

The poor ex-slave girl

Acts 16:16-18

One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a spirit that enabled her to tell the future. She earned a lot of money for her masters by telling fortunes. She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.” This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her

The prison guard

Acts 16:30-34

Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household. Even at that hour of the night, the jailer cared for them and washed their wounds. Then he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized. He brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God

Acts 16:40

When Paul and Silas left the prison, they returned to the home of Lydia. There they met with the believers and encouraged them once more. Then they left town.

How do two Jews, a young man, a doctor, a wealthy businesswoman, a poor ex-slave girl, and a prison guard do life together as a family?

Philippians 2:1-5

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

The closer you are to other Christ followers, the stronger you will be.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)

Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see The Day approaching.

All the Poor and Powerless

All the poor and powerless
And all the lost and lonely
And all the thieves will come confess
And know that You are holy
And know that You are holy

And all will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah

All the hearts who are content
And all who feel unworthy
And all who hurt with nothing left
Will know that You are holy

And all will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah

Shout it
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God

We will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
We will sing out
Hallelujah

Shout it
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God
